Christmas Stacked Books

Hi Crafty Friends,
Are you celebrating Christmas in July? Brass and Bliss is definitely Decking the Halls this week starting on the 25th with a brand NEW Christmas Release! I'm giving you a little preview of what is to come with my favorite set of the release called Winter Stacked Books 37036. It is perfect for the bookworms in your life. I also love the background stamp of the first card, Christmas Mash-Up 37038. Please use my links above or below to shop!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Are you a book worm? What are you reading?
A: Yes! I love real books in your hand not a kindle, I'm reading the Co-Worker by Frieda McFadden

Card #1: Stacks of Christmas Joy

Step #1: I started my card by stamping the Brass & Bliss Christmas Mash Up in Color Fuse Crimson Ink and die-cutting it with the outline dies.

Step #2: I die cut the background again with Brass & Bliss Postage Stamp Nested Die 5806D and mounted it on Brass & Bliss Boughs of Joy 6x6 Paper 2304. Then, I used the smallest of the Postage Stamp Nested Die to create the background for my sentiment.

Step #3: I stamped my favorite sentiment from the stamp set on the small postage die. I colored up the stack of books and cup of hot cocoa with Copic Markers and put glitter on the star.

Step #4: I finished my card by placing the stacked books tree to the left side of the card and the sentiment offset on the top right.

Card #2: Season's Readings

Step #1: I started my card by picking out papers from the Brass & Bliss Boughs of Joy 6x6 Paper Pack 2304 that match the Copic coloring I did on the stamp stack of books.

Step #2: I used Brass & Bliss Nested Rectangle Small Stitch Die Set 5013D for the Christmas Tree Paper and Brass & Bliss Nested Square Small Stitch Die 5011D for the red snowflake and green stripe paper. I arranged them in the center and then mounted the stacked books on top.

Step #3: I stamped the sentiment Season Greetings on the Brass & Bliss Offset Tag Dies 5605-03D and mounted it on my card coming from the left side.

Step #4: I finished my card by adding gold glitter to the lights on the books and gold glitter enamel dots around the sentiment.

  9. Wow, what a fun kit for Christmas cards... the books made into a tree is so cute. Love both cards, so colorful and full of traditional colors or the holiday. Thanks for sharing both of your whimsical cards with us at Double Trouble in meeting our 3-2-1 recipe and using Twisted Sister's optional twist to use a fun pun. Adorable cards.

  14. Meghan, you are really into the Christmas in July theme... you make me feel guilty I've hardly done any at all so far. As always, your coloring with Copic markers is so well done! I really like the stack of books Christmas "tree", and your use of traditional holiday pattern papers. Thank you so much for sharing (and inspiring me) your cards with us at Double Trouble!!! -Donna
