Back To School Slider Surprise

 Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm sharing a fun Back to School Slider Card for the Cut it Up Challenge #235 "Back to School- Follow a Tutorial" Challenge. I followed the My Favorite Things Slider Surprise Tutorial using the Surprise Slider Die-namics die and darling images from Paper Nest Dolls. My twin sister is a 2nd Grade teacher and a SAINT! The patience she has with the kids, the fun she creates for them in class and remotely is just incredible. They are learn SO MUCH from her and she makes school enjoyable. Most of her students come back year after year to say HI even through college! She has positively impacted SO MANY LIVES, I'm in AWE and so PROUD to be her sister.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Who is one of your favorite teachers?
A: Me? I loved my 3rd Grade Teacher Mrs. Hahn.

Here is the step by step of how it slides. If you want to see it in action, head to my Instagram @MadeByMeghanK

Sweet Sentiment Surf's Up Retreat: Monkey Island Water Shaker

Hi Crafty Friends,
I have a fun "water" shaker card for you to make for the Sweet Sentiment Surf's Up Retreat! All you need is some hand sanitizer (which we all have gallons of left over from the pandemic right?!?!) and a zip lock baggie! The little Chill Out Monkey and Palm Tree digi are perfect for the "above" water portion of the card and all the digi Sea Creatures can be colored up and placed "underwater". See below for the step by step of how to create this bright island water shaker card.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Have you ever been surfing? Were you able to do it?
A: Me? No, I have never been but I would love too!

Here is it in ACTION:

Step #1: Squeeze the Hand Sanitizer into the Ziplock bag and add sequins if you would like the extra sparkle.

Step #2: Seal the baggie tight and smoosh around the sequins so that they are all in the front where they will be seen on the card

Step #3: Place the baggie on your background paper and fold over the seat and tape tightly

Step #4: I backed my pattern paper with heavy cardstock so that it doesn't flop around and bend

Step #5: Now you get to make your background! I used a slimline card base so that I could create "above" and below the water. I glued the purple sky, water shaker piece, and island dies down to the base then framed is with the pink polka dot edge so that you can't see the seams of my background pieces

Step #6: I finished my card by gluing all the critters I colored and adding the awesome seaweed die from the Sweet Sentiment Shop to the left corner for even more underwater elements

Supplies:
Sweet Sentiment Chill Out Stamp
Sweet Sentiment Pistachio Biscotti Sequins
Sweet Sentiment Seaweed Die
Sweet Sentiment Surf's Up Digis

Hand Sanitizer
Ziplock Bag
