Scrap N' Stamp PUN Card Blog Hop: You're One and A Chameleon

Hi Crafty Friends!

I am SOOOO EXCITED to be a Guest Designer for Scrap N' Stamp's Pun Card Blog Hop! I made two cards for the hop because I LOVE Puns! I hope you enjoy them both. For my both cards, I used the DARLING Lawn Fawn One In A Chameleon Stamp Set. After you answer my make Crafty Friends Q & A, learn about how I made my card! Click HERE to go to my Second Card!
Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite "dad" joke? I think dad jokes are very similar to corny puns ;)
A: Me? Want to hear a joke about paper? Nevermind it's tearable

I started by stamping the rainbow from Concord & 9th Rainbow Wishes Stamp Set. I used colors from the Tim Holtz Distress Archival Mini Ink Pads #1 and Tim Holtz Distress Archival Mini Ink Pads #2 then I stamped the clouds in black and the "patterns" on the yellow and blue part of the rainbow.

Next I fussy cut out all the layers. I used a 4 x 5.25 piece of white cardstock blending Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create the light blue background. I splattered it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink mixed with water.

I add some die cut clouds with inked edges and of course the CUTE little Lawn Fawn Chameleon and sentiment from the Lawn Fawn One In a Chameleon Stamp set. I finished it off with Ranger Glossy Accents on the hearts, non-patterned rainbow bands, and the little Chameleon's colored back pattern.

  5. Love the card Meghan! This little chameleon is one of my favourite Lawn Fawn stamp sets. I also love me some good corny puns and Dad Jokes. I am the one in my family who tells them. Here is this week's favourite: ~ My friend keeps saying "cheer up man it could be worse, you could be stuck underground in a hole full of water." I know he means well.

A cute story about a Dad joke.... My Dad used to ask, "Do you know what I heard?" and then he'd answer, "Sheep!" It always made us laugh! Still my favorite Dad joke to this day!
