Quokka in a Winter Wonderland

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am loving the NEW Mini Slimline dies from Kat Scrappiness. We are in the middle of WINTER in Chicago with snow and temps below 20 degrees so I created a winter scene using the NEW Distressed Edge Mini Slimline Die, Crafter's Essentials Winter Dies, Icicle Dies, and Snowflake Kisses Die. The darling little Quokka is all bundled up in his hat and scarf so he is ready for whatever Chicago brings, even another "Polar Vortex"

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: What is the coldest it has been where you live?
A: Me? It's be -30 here before

  1. I don't know how cold it's been here in Orange County, CA.....but we have had a little bit of frost in the past. The one good thing about California is the weather. I will miss the weather when we flee.

  2. Cute card! I love the scene you created for the quokka!
It gets down into the teens here.

  3. I am liking the smaller thin line cards. I will have to do this for sure. I'd be more apt to doing them. I love the cute scene and sweet image. Our winter in Washington State has been pretty mild. In the low 30's a few times although they are talking dusting of snow this weekend but short lived.. we'll see I guess.

  4. The card is cute and feels wintery and blustery, very cool card, tee hee. I've never heard of this Q bear.. reminds me of a beaver. Here in Michigan we always get what Chicago has a couple days after, so yup it's been pretty cold here in the past too (but not today, go figure 40 degrees in late Jannuary)

  6. Super cute card! I grew up in the Chicago area and now live about 2 hours west so I've felt the -30 also.
