To My Favorite Bookworm

Hi Crafty Friends,
I made a book themed mini slimline card for my MOM who is in two book groups. It's perfect for the Time Out Challenge World Book Day and Craft Roulette Challenge #160 Project: Your Card Choice, Colors: Strawberry Fields, Element: Chair, Random: Gingham/Plaid. I used the My Favorite Things Sketch #642 (see below) for my design and Color Challenge #209 which matches with the Strawberry Fields colors from Craft Roulette. The stamp set is MFT BB Our Story and I used the MFT Double Stitched Mini Slimline Die-namics.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is a book that's on your "want to read" list?
A: Me? The Maid

Supplies:
MFT BB Our Story
MFT Double Stitched Mini Slimline Die-namics

Challenges:

My Favorite Things Color Challenge 209
Time Out Challenge 236 World Book Day "You Are a Reader"

  2. Meghan, what a super cute card for your Mom! Making it a horizontal slimline card gives you so much room to work with... and you did it beautifully!! I read mostly science fiction, so my Kindle is loaded to the brim with books I want to read. One of my favorite is a lady caption who leads a group of misfit rogues to police the far end of the galaxy :-D Thank you for sharing your adorable card with us at Double Trouble for our "special lady" challenge!!! -Donna

I have a couple of books on my front room end table that are just waiting for me to get the inclination to start them!

  6. Very cute card and the color combo is so nice together. Remember, our theme is Always Anything FLORALS Goes, flowers must be the focus to be eligible for the draw at Beautiful Blossoms.
    Thanks for playing along

  7. This is super, M!! Love it!
Hmmm. That's a list as long as my arm. I don't remember the name of the book that I am going to look for next. Let me hop over to another tab *pause* It might be Lessons in Chemistry... I will have to check. I have such a stack at home waiting that I don't usually pay close attention to "new new" books that have come out recently. I also read at least one paperback romance/week.

  9. Oh this is adorable!!! I love the colors you used and it goes perfect with that MFT sketch too! A book I want to read is the Bible! I've read and studied many sections but never studied it cover to cover. Thanks for sharing this cute card with us at Double Trouble too! :)

  10. Great card, Meghan! As for books, I read about three books every two weeks but avoid the latest craze. Right now I am reading book #24 in a 26-book series. Thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble #136. - Melanie R.
