Unique Mummy

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am gearing up for Halloween with this Mummy Card featuring Brass & Bliss Mummy Cover Die 5731D. I decided to make a unique mummy in black and orange instead of the typical white mummy. Use the links below to shop!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Do you make Halloween cards?
A: Me? Yes, I love Halloween

Step #1: I die cut the mummy's eyes from black and white cardstock. Then I die cut the mummy piece from orange cardstock and I mounted them on textured black crepe paper to give it a more cloth like look.

Step #2: I mounted the mummy on purple cardstock to make it pop and added the BOO sentiment in the same purple cardstock to match using Brass & Bliss Upper Case Alphabet with Stitch Die 5140-01D.

  1. What a fun mummy card, Meghan! My favorite thing about this one are his eyes. So fun! I also love how you used orange and black for an unexpected twist. The purple accent is great too. The texture giving it a cloth look is a really nice touch too! I love making Halloween cards too, but not anything too scary for me! This guy is adorable. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We really appreciate you always!

  3. Darling card, Meghan - love the cover plate background! Note: since posted in August, it wouldn't qualify at the Divas September challenge (no backlinking) - thanks and we'll enjoy your September entries :)
