Dogs are Best Friends

I was inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge Friendship for these two scrapbook pages. The first layout features my nephew Thomas and his Bestie, my puppy, Maddie. The second layout features my sister's dog Josie, and her Bestie my dad's late dog Ronan. Both layouts have puppies from Newton's Nook Puppy Playtime Stamp Set and Doodlebug Design Puppy Love Scrapbook Collection.

Hello Sunshine Portrait Pals Postage Cards

I was inspired by the Craft Roulette Challenge #323 Project A7: A7 Waffleflower Postage Die, Colors Pretty: Pretty Shades of Yellow, Element Photo Booth: Each character vignette is framed like a photo booth strip, Random Geometric: Rectangle Squares Circles. I was inspired to use yellow and sunshine backgrounds for Friends of Sweet November June Challenge Sunshine featuring Sweet November Postage Pals: Portrait.

Happy Birthday Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,
Poppy Stamps Nordic Butterflies are just gorgeous! I created a birthday card featuring them in shades of teal. I love the layered wings.

Q: Did you see a butterfly this spring?
A: Me? Not yet

Step #1: I started by creating the bigger butterfly, Poppy Stamps Nordic Whisper Butterfly 2779 out of Poppy Stamps 6x6 Lagoon Paper Pack SP1010. I made the outer wings the darkest and lighter towards the middle.

Step #2: I created the little butterflies, Poppy Stamps Nordic Cheery Butterflies 2767 out of matching paper to the larger but this time there is no middle shade in the wings so I used the middle shade of Lagoon for the body. 

Step #3: I created my background with Poppy Stamps Birthday Fun 6x6 teal pattern papers. I mounted Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Tender Script Die 2768 towards the upper left corner and surrounded it with my butterflies. I finished my card by hand-drawing the butterfly trails.
