Happy Birthday Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,
Poppy Stamps Nordic Butterflies are just gorgeous! I created a birthday card featuring them in shades of teal. I love the layered wings.

Q: Did you see a butterfly this spring?
A: Me? Not yet

Step #1: I started by creating the bigger butterfly, Poppy Stamps Nordic Whisper Butterfly 2779 out of Poppy Stamps 6x6 Lagoon Paper Pack SP1010. I made the outer wings the darkest and lighter towards the middle.

Step #2: I created the little butterflies, Poppy Stamps Nordic Cheery Butterflies 2767 out of matching paper to the larger but this time there is no middle shade in the wings so I used the middle shade of Lagoon for the body. 

Step #3: I created my background with Poppy Stamps Birthday Fun 6x6 teal pattern papers. I mounted Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Tender Script Die 2768 towards the upper left corner and surrounded it with my butterflies. I finished my card by hand-drawing the butterfly trails.

Summer Puppies

Hi Crafty Friends,
I was inspired by the Keep It Simple Summer Craft Challenge. My first card is my sister's dog Josie, she is a Bernadoodle. I am going to be taking care of her when they go on Summer vacation at the end of the month so I made this card of her dog to show her we are going to be best friends! Using KIS Build-a-House and Build-a Dog Dies with KIS Dog Sentiment Stamp Set. My second card is Howie, he is my friend Doug's mix. Doug and I met because he was patient of mine (I'm a PTA) who I worked with during my clinicals with breast cancer, he lives close so we have been taking our dogs on walks this summer together. I used the KIS Build-a-House and Build-a Dog Dies with KIS Dog Sentiment Stamp Set.
