Paper Craft Business May Challenge: You Are the Center of My Universe Mom

Hi Crafty Friends,
There is a new challenge at Paper Craft Business and it is PERFECT for this month... Mother's Day! This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Sugar Pea Designs and is a darling way to show your mom you appreciate her. I know my mom is the "Center of My Universe" even as an adult! Scroll down for pics of me and my MOMSIE!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Tell me something you LOVE about your mom
A: Me? She is the most patient woman in the world! She taught preschool for years (that is patience of a saint). She has always been there for me even when I'm being the biggest brat!

Yep, I'm an identical twin! Can you imagine? My poor mom! I know we were a whiny pair... but we are pretty cute so that might have helped!
My mom's birthday one year I got her favorite pottery from a store in Michigan called Hadley Pottery.
Here we are looking glam at a family friend's wedding!
Hope you enjoy your Mother's Day and show some appreciation for all the mom's out there! Please take time to comment here on my blog and follow me so you can answer all my fun "Make Crafty Friends Q & As". For more fun and inspiration follow me on Instagram here!

Double Trouble Challenge #27: It's Free For All: Good Luck! You Are As Tough As Nails

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am soooo lucky that there is a "3rd" week in April because that means I get to Guest Design 3x for the Double Trouble Challenge! Here's my Crazy Cousin Image!

Click HERE for an introduction to our challenge and HERE for complete guidelines.
NEW - Check out our Secret Sister's special gift in the guidelines.
Please take the time to read our guidelines so you don't get into trouble! Consider becoming a blog follower. Select the participant badge or any photo from our current challenge for your own blog posting.

WELCOME to Challenge #27 - Let the Troubles Begin!
"Grab your Stuff"

THING 1: Trouble Maker
says "This is a Free-for-All challenge so have a little fun creating with "Some Thing", "Any Thing" and "Every Thing". Grab your bone folder, your stuff, and create something new."  We think this is easier than folding a fitted sheet! It's time to use "stuff" you haven't used before.
THING 3:  Twisted Sister
is a little sassy.  Babble, Babble, Babble - She's lost for words.  Help her out and have words be the focus on your project.  Use stamps, patterned paper, embossing, stickers, rub-ons and create words.

This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble's random draw prize if you have included words on your project.

THING 2: Double Dare
dares you to multiply the fun and link up your project with any of our previous partner(s) below for extra chances to our Random Draw. Make sure you read their guidelines carefully and observe their dates. We don't want you to get into Trouble with them.

This means: each time you link with a previous partner, or multiple partners with the same card, you gain additional chances for each partner challenge you entered. Please make sure you add them in your blog along with our Double Trouble link.

I love green and shamrocks because I am Irish! So I chose to make this card for Thing 1 and use the words GOOD LUCK 'you are as tough as nails' as the focus of my project for Thing 3. Then I will be joining the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge among a few others for Thing 2!

I can't wait to see what inspires you for this wonderful challenge!

Thanks A Latte

Hi Crafty Friends,
This was a CHALLENGE for me. The Newton's Nook Challenge is Colored Pencils. I have an amazing set of Prismacolors colored pencils but I never use them. Here is what I made. I know they are tiny cups but I did NOT like coloring with colored pencils. I feel like I couldn't shade with them like I can with copics. I guess I need to take a class with Alyce from Kit and Clowder ;).

Make Crafty Friends Q &A:
Q: Do you like coloring with colored pencils? Any tips?
A: Me? As of right now, NO.

I made the background splatter with Altenew Ruby Watercolor Marker and splattered with it too. I added the sequins for a little extra sparkle and the sentiment is a die cut from Stamplorations!

Better Latte Than Never- Happy Belated Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,
Sharing a Clean and Simple Coffee Birthday Card! There are always times when we forget someone's birthday and this card will put a smile on their face because a handmade card is BETTER Latte Than NEVER right?

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: When is the worst time your forgot someone's birthday?
A: Me? Honestly hasn't happened yet, knock on wood!

I stamped the Better Latte Than Never Sentiment in two shades of brown using my Misti to align it. Then I doodled around the edges to make a frame for my card. I added the darling little Cup 'O Joe in the middle and finished it with the Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday die.

Polka Dot Orchard: Yellow and Purple Floral Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm back Guest Designing for Polka Dot Orchard! It's finally SPRING! The weather is turning and the flowers are starting to bloom! I was inspired by some gorgeous yellow blooms I saw while walking my pup! I also am joining in the As You Like it Challenge Ribbon or Flowers, my favorite is flowers because they smell delightful!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite flower?
A: Me? I love Hydrangeas!

I started by blending Distress Oxide Wilted Violet then splattering it with water. I colored the flowers with copic markers and then added some iridescent Stickles to add some glitter!

I finished my card by adding the purple sequin accents and sentiment that comes with the digi set.

CAS: You Are My Sunshine

Hi Crafty Friends,
There are a few challenges going on this month that are CLEAN and SIMPLE. I STRUGGLE big time with CAS because I love using patterned papers, layers, inks and embellishments but I decided to take on the challenges. Let me know what you think.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Who brings SUNSHINE to your life?
A: Me? My puppy Maddie. She makes me smile everyday!

How cute is my little SUNSHINE, Madde? Not much explaining to do with this one... I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo ink and colored them with copics, I added the little gold sequins because the sun sparkles :) And a little stitched edge for the AAA Challenge twist.

Kat Scrappiness Guest Designer: Whooo... is Having A Birthday?

Hi Crafty Friends,
This is my LAST post as a Guest Designer for Kat Scrappiness, but I'm sure I'll be back soon if they will have me! I really enjoyed my time this month because I ADORE Kathleen and Kat Scrappiness products. They are the best group of ladies and the store amazing with all the unique products they carry! I made a fun birthday card using the new release die sets from the 12th! They make fun backgrounds so easy to make!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Have you ever seen an owl in the wilderness? Not a zoo....
A: Me? No.... sadly I have not, I have heard them but never seen on except in a zoo

I started my card with the blue panel using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die. Then I die cut the Wood Grain Frame and inked it with brown distress oxide to make the wood grain stand out!

I assembled the scene, adding these darling owls from Gerda Designs that are carried in the Kat Scrappiness Store! And of course the cute little pun sentiment!

Kat Scrappiness Guest Designer: Sunshine Chameleon

Hi Crafty Friends,
This is my last day Guest Designing for the amazing Kat Scrappiness! Today I have two projects to share with you. Here is the first one! A little fun with the Lawn Fawn One In A Chameleon set that is in the store. Who doesn't love sunshine? And this Chameleon has made himself yellow to shine bright just like the sun!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is the worst sunburn you have ever gotten?
A: Me? I did a 100 mile bike ride in a tank top and I missed the middle of my back with the lotion... I got 2nd degree burns and I still have a freckle sports bra shaped outline on my back!

I started this card with the blue panel stamping the little chameleon in darker blue all over. I taped it down to my yellow base then I took a few different ribbons and taped them down as the sunshine rays.

Next, I die cut the "sun" circle using the Kat Scrappiness Distressed Edge Circle and inked the edges in orange. I also die cut the clouds from the Kat Scrappiness He Has Risen die set and inked the edges in blue.

I finished my card by using foam tape to pop up the clouds and sun. Then stamping the fun sentiment on the clouds!
