Beautiful Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,
Did you see the new Your Next Stamp Release yet? We had an amazing Release Blog Hop last week, if you missed it, head to the blog and get inspired! The new release is fabulous. I used Baby Blessings for my hop cards but I also adore the Beautiful Butterflies Set. It's so much fun to color and the sentiments are so versatile. This card is PERFECT for summer! Summer SUNSHINE and bright colors!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: If you could see any color butterfly what would you want to see?
A: Me? I would love to see a RAINBOW butterfly.. why? Because my FAVORITE Halloween Costume was when I was a Rainbow butterfly! See below!

I started my card by creating the ray of sunshine background using Distress Oxide inks and a sunshine stencil. I then splattered my panel with white paint and water to add some texture. I added the beautiful butterflies using foam tape so they pop from the background. I finished my card with some fabulous orange gems and the great sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to follow and leave me a comment answering my Make Crafty Friends Q & A! For more inspiration head to my Instagram and follow me there too!

Annie's First Ballet Recital

Hi Crafty Friends,
It is my niece's FIRST Ballet Recital this month! Of course I had to make her a Ballerina Card! This image from Digi Doodle Studios is absolutely DARLING and looks just like Annie! It's called Sylvie Ballerina. I included some pictures of my sister, Lauren and I in our first ballet outfits and Annie in hers. If you can name the critters on our belts, I have a SPECIAL PRIZE for you. I'll check the comments for the right answer, first one wins (Lauren you can't enter)!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Did you take dance classes as a kid? Do you dance now?
A: Me? YES! I took ballet but was not very graceful, so switched to sports...softball, basketball, running, tennis, volleyball etc. but started dancing again in high school when I made the cheerleading squad.

I stenciled the background with Uniko Studio Fun Flower and Distress Oxide Inks. I colored my ballerina with copic markers and die cut her out from Gina Marie Stitched Oval Dies. I accented the corners with I Am Roses Flowers and added the sentiment "BEAUTIFUL" because all girls are beautiful!

Hey swee-TEA!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am so upset about this card. I had it all planned out and I messed up when I glued the cup and tea bag down. I tried to get it off the card and wrinkled it! But I love the idea so much I stuck with it. So I hope you don't mind a little wrinkle!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite kind of Green Tea?
A: Me? I like Sencha Green.

I used a Catherine Pooler Stencil for the background and Distress Oxide Crack Pistachio and Mowed Lawn Ink for the background. I added my favorite embellishment green pearls from The Ink Road Stamps that are NAMED after me! MEGHAN Half Bead Green Pearls!
Supplies:

Mission Control: We Have A Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,
I have TWO Cards to share with you that I made for BOY/MALE Birthday! I was inspired by the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #437, Color Challenge #117, and Birthday Project: Make A Wish. I love this Space Explorers Set SO MUCH!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What is your favorite SPACE movie?
A: Me? SpaceBalls! Remember that one with John Candy? Am I aging myself :)

For my first card I used the candle paper from Doodlebug Designs for my background and then colored up the planets and the little space explorer in the color theme from Challenge #117. I inked the edges of the stars and die cut my sentiment out of a STITCHED rectangle nesting die.
For my second card, I used the same paper pack but for this one I decided to make the planets out of the birthday patterned papers. I inked all the edges with royal blue Versa Ink and finished my card with the cute birthday sentiment die cut from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Supplies:
