Rain, Rain Go Away!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am honored to be joining the Creative Craft Cottage Challenge Blog Design Team! This is my first post! We have a great theme this month, it's NO PATTERNED PAPER. Q: What color is your umbrella?
A:Me? I have a fun paisley Vera Bradley one!

 I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create the cloud background with the Craftin' Desert Divas Cloud Sky stencil. Then I splattered it with Blue Jean Distress Oxide Ink and water to create the "rain" look.

I diecut the clouds and inked the edges with the Blue Jean ink and popped them up with foam tape. I finished my card by adding the darling copic colored image and sweet sentiment.

Polka Dot Orchards Guest Designer: Perk Up, Spring Is In the Air

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am Guest Designing for a great company, Polka Dot Orchards! Check out all the darling images and wonderful she has in her Etsy Shop. I love anything coffee and Polka Dot Orchards has some amazing sets for the coffee and tea lovers out there. Spring is on the way and this is the perfect coffee image for the season, Good Morning Spring Digi Set.

Q: Do you like hot coffee or cold brew coffee better?
A: Me? HOT... I love all hot drinks and drink hot coffee and tea even on 90 degree F days!

I colored this fabulous image with copic markers. I matted some patterned papers from the YNS Crazy for Coffee Set in pink to bring out the pink flowers of the stamp.

 I popped the images up from the card using foam tape. I inked the edges of the papers to give it that shabby chic look. I added some enamel dots to the middles of the flowers and some hearts on the edges. I finished the card with one of the great sentiments from the set.

Digi Doodle Studios Faithful Friends

Hi Crafty Friends,
I LOVE Bright Colors and Funky Patterns! I used the colors from a great 6x6 Paper Pack from Pink and Main called My Heart to color up this darling stamp from Digi Doodle Studios Called FAITHFUL FRIENDS! I chose this image because it reminds me of me and my pup, Maddie!

Q: Who is your most FAITHFUL friend and why?
A: Me? My identical twin sister, Lauren. She is the only person in the world that I trust 100% and I know she will always be there for me.

As you can see I colored the "L" and her shirt and hair bow to match the heart paper, and used all the other colors throughout the image! I also made a matching envelope for a extra special touch!

Kinda Cute Patricia Guest Designer: Siblings And Toy

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am HONORED to be Guest Designing for Kinda Cute Patricia this month! She has the MOST adorable digital images! For my first card, I chose Siblings and Toy because they reminded me SO much of my niece and nephew. My niece, Annie carries around her "moo cow" everywhere so this image fits her and big brother Thomas perfectly (see the matching pics below). I also made a matching envelope!

Q: Do you have siblings? How many?
A: Me? YES! I am an IDENTICAL TWIN (that's why Annie and Thomas look just like me) and I have an older brother who lives in Ireland.

 I started out by coloring the duo to match a fun paper pack I have from Pink and Main called  Beach Bum. I used various copic markers and added little highlights on their cheeks with a white gel pen.

Ok Ok... I'll be honest. I sent the colored image to my sister and had her pose the kids to match :) But come on! How good is this? They look exactly a like! I know which card my sister is getting for Mother's Day!
I used a bunch of the different patterned papers and matted them in red to make the siblings really pop from the card and finished it with the navy ribbon and little diecut hearts!

The Stamp Doctor Dreamy Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,
HAPPY SPRING! April is here. This one took me FOREVER but totally worth it! I love butterflies and these tiny diecuts are just too cute. I cut them out of a rainbow assortment of cardstock and used mini glue dots to put them into a heart shape. I wanted to use the glue dots so that I could bend their wings up and make them look like they are about to fly from the card. Then I "doodled" the outline and stamped "dream" to finish it off.

Q: What is your favorite insect of spring? I know it's hard to like insects but try!
A: Me? I love seeing butterflies. They are so rare where I live that when you catch a glimpse of one it is truly special.

Challenge #25 with Cupcake Inspirations "Woodland Critters"  - Due at Double Trouble No Later than March 30, 2019 or sooner for publication April 1, 2019.  

THING 1:  Trouble Maker

Use something that looks like or made from wood (woodgrain pattern papers, wooden embellishments, trees, fence, stump etc.) on your project.

is rockin' and singing "Wild thing you make my heart sing" by The Troggs".  Use a woodland critter in your project.

I went with this darling deer stamp set from Newton's Nook called Deer Friend (Thing 2). I colored the deer with Copic markers and highlighted them with white gel pen.

I created a woodland scene by hand cutting the branch (Thing 1) and leaves and placing the deer under the tree.

I finished my card with a cute little sentiment from C.C Designers Fawned Stamp Set. And since I did both Thing 1 and Thing 2 why not join in Thing 3? I linked up with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 467!

Papercraft Business Challenge #17: EASTER

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for a new Papercraft Business Challenge! It's a great one for April...#17: EASTER! There is a wonderful prize too! See below. I decided to represent all the Easter characters with this darling stamp set of babies in Easter Onesies by Clearly Besotted.

Q: Which is your favorite Easter character?
A: Me? I LOVE bunnies! They are just sooooo cute!

I used a copic markers to color up these cuties. I used a diecut to frame them and foam tape to pop them up in the "windows". I finished the card by doodling the edges, adding a few gems, and stamping the Happy Easter!

And for a final special touch, I made a matching envelope!
