Tiny Christmas Flip Book Tutorial

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am here with C.C Designs darling Tiny Christmas set and the Christmas Paper Pad to give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a flip book with all the cute characters!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Which character is your favorite from the below?
A: Me? I love Mrs. Claus and her chubby little cheeks!

Let's start with the finished card so you can see where we are headed. I colored all the Tiny Christmas characters with  Copic markers using the Christmas Paper Pad as my color guide.

Step #1:
Die cut the base out of white card stock and fold at the the creased edges both directions, this will help your card flip smoothly.
Step #2:
Die cut and decorate your four panels. I used the square panel in the red polka dot paper as my "frame" and the scallop square with all the different patterns in the center.

Step #3:
I mounted my characters on the matching patterned papers and lined them up in the order I wanted them to open up with Santa last. That means Santa get glued on first.

Step #4:
You use one strip of adhesive tape or tape runner on the in between each of your scored creases on your base so that just the edges of the first three are glued down. Then you last panel gets glued down completely. Then add strong tape to the flaps at the end of your base these are going to be what holds your flipper to the card.

Step #5:
I added a decorative frame for my flipper using the green heart paper and a rectangle scallop die. Then I mounted my flipper onto the frame. Then you can test your flip, make sure it moves smoothly. If it doesn't slide well you might want to use thinner paper. I used 110lb Neenah which is thick and some recommend using 80lb but 110lb worked for me!

Step #6:
I stamped a sentiment next to Santa so that as the recipient pulls it out they reveal Santa and his greeting! Then I mounted the whole thing with 1/4 in thick foam tape on to my card base. This makes it easier to use the flip. I finished my card with a sentiment below the flip book using the NEW Tiny Winter set and C.C Designs Christmas Enamel Dots.
