Measure Twice, Cut Once, Pound to Fit

Hi Crafty Friends,
Masculine cards are always a challenge but Brass & Bliss has made it easy with this awesome Too Many Tools Stamp Set 37020. I love the sentiments on this set, perfect for Father's Day.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Is your dad or husband handy or like to build things?
A: Me? Yes, my dad is the most handy man ever, built us a treehouse when I was young, our back porch, bookshelves and lately he has been doing birdhouses.

Step #1: I started my card by creating my background using Brass & Bliss Repeating Bricks Stencil 4102 with Brass & Bliss Large Blending Brushes and Color Fuse Inks Pecan and Cinnamon.

Step #2: I colored the tools in silver and wood brown to give them the more rustic old fashioned look. I also covered them in glossy accents to give them texture and the silver parts "shine" just like real tools.
Step #3: I added my tools diagonally across my card. I stamped the sentiments on the Brass & Bliss Offset Tags Dies 5605-03D and put them on opposing corners of my card. I mounted my stenciled base on kraft paper.
