Seas the Day

Hi Crafty Friends,
Have you seen the July Premier for Digi Doodle Studios? We have a NAUTICAL Themed Release! I love the darling sea animals in the NEW Land & Sea Pairables. I used just the little whale for this card and made a foiled water background for him to swim.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: Have you seen a whale in the wild?
A: Me? No. I have only been to the ocean once and it freaked me out because I got taken by the undertow so I've never been back.

Don't forget to subscribe, follow, and comment on my blog for your chance to win my July Prize (see right panel) and for more giveaways and inspiration follow me on Instagram @MadeByMeghanK

  1. This is so cute!!!I love everything about it. All of the extras make this a really cute card. And the whale is a favorite of mine. Our grandkiddos call their grandpa, my husband, Whale. Not because he's big, because he's thin...but because he does the most AWESOME whale impression in the pool!! He studied how they breech, how they swim, everything, and learned...so we all call him Whale in front of the kids. Even kids they know call him that because our grandkiddos call him that. It's so sweet!!!

    1. Oh my gosh, this is so funny. Love that he actually studies how they move and breach, so he can be authentic. My kids would be begging their grandpa to do it all the time.

  2. Cute whale! Adorable card!
I have seen whales in the wild. Pretty exciting to get a chance to see them a couple of years ago. I was on my way to the Santa Barbara area and spotted a bunch of people gathered and watching from a parking lot near Pismo Beach. I stopped to watch too!

  9. Wonderful wonderful card! I love the colors and dreamy cloud dimension and terrific layers! I've never foiled, bet it's super pretty like sun on the sea. Those rainbow curves are a spectacular addition like an aquarium porthole against that perfect stark white! I love everything about this card!

  12. Oh I love this card. Woukd like to know how you did the foiled sea though!
I lived in Africa for 18 months when I was a lot younger (15) and when my mum and dad went to Victoria falls for the day and I just fancied a day round the pool. Some friends I had met out there were going on a day trip to see 🤞whales, when they found out I was on my own they asked if I wanted to go with them. Well I'd be daft to say no. So off whale watching we went. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales but we DID see a shark. I've never moved from the side of a boat as quick since, I think I'd of beaten Usain Bolt a run for his money as I moved that quick. Hahaha. A memory was made that day that will always be a wonderful memory. X X happy weekend everyone. X X X
