Cake Pop-Up Easel Card #2: Sunflowers

Hi Crafty Friends,
This is my second card using the Poppy Stamps Floral Cake Pop Up Easel Die. If you missed my pink cake creation, check out the May 13th blog post. For this cake I used a different set of flower dies, the Layered Lovely Flowers Dies and made them look like Sunflowers! I think the gold adds that perfect touch of elegance.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: When is the last time you had birthday cake?
A: Me? Probably when I was in elementary school? I am not a cake fan

FinalI used the same sentiment stamp set I used for my pink cake, the Birthday Blowout. I love the 1920s font.

  1. Pretty cake card! I think it must be chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting!
My hubby and I split a cupcake that I got at the grocery store bakery on my birthday a couple of months back. And I had a scoop of ice cream with mine! :) It was scrumptious!

  2. What a great card!! I had birthday cake in March when I was up in the Chicago area celebrating my granddaughter's 15th birthday. I am not a fan of cake either but I never get to celebrate birthdays with my family so that was special.

  3. What a great birthday card, Meghan! Love the shaped card base. I don't think many people love cake, honestly. The last good cake I had was at my son's wedding - it was incredible! Thank you for playing with Creative Creases Challenge, and I hope you can join us again soon.

  4. I love this die set, it makes such a lovely Easel card. I wish I wasn't a Cake Fan! I'm a sucker for a good Southern Style Red Velvet Coconut Cake! Thanks for sharing with us at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and we hope you'll share again soon!

  5. Meghan, you can make me a birthday cake for sure. However, like you, I'm not a fan of cake but yours is beautiful. I prefer pies and cookies or nothing...well maybe a cannoli or tiramisu...lol. Thanks for playing at Creative Creases.

  6. Well, who needs the calories when they can have a beautiful cake like this. No calories, no storage, and just like a Twinkie... has a very long shelf-life. Love it! Thank you for joining us for Creative Creases Challenge #57. See you for Challenge #58.
