Have a Sugar Cookie Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's almost time to make Christmas cookies and Mrs. Claus Swissie from C.C Designs can't wait! She is baking up some rainbow sugar cookies and sweets for the elves and her hubbie to fuel them for the month ahead! Our family favorite is Candy Cane shaped sugar cookies. My nephew, William who lives in Ireland LOVES baking Christmas cookies, see him below making candy cane cookies. While my niece, Annie in Pennsylvania decided to get started a few weeks ago with her candy cane creations.

Snowflake Foiling with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Holiday Embellishment Kit

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Scrapbook Adhesives for the next THREE months! Each month I will be posting two tutorials featuring many of the amazing products that Scrapbook Adhesives sells. This is my second tutorial for this month. I am in LOVE with the Scrapbook Adhesive foils and the 3D Foam Holiday Embellishment Kit and I created a fun slimline snowman card with a unique twist on the snowflakes by making them red.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What color snowflakes would you like to see in real life besides white?
A: Me? I would love some pink snowflakes!

Step 1: Pick out the Foam Holiday Embellishments and foil colors you want to use. For this card I chose the snowflakes and red foil.

Step 2: Arrange your foam pieces on your card base, peeling off just the bottom adhesive to adhere to your card.

Step 3: Peel off the top layer of the foam embellishment to expose the adhesive and lay your foil on top. Rub the foil on the adhesive with your fingers.

Step 4: Peel off the foil slowly making sure all the adhesive is covered in foil. If you missed a spot simply put the foil back over that spot and rub a little more.

Step 5: Repeat for all your adhesive embellishments.

Step 6: For the sentiment stripes, I used the Scrapbook Adhesives Adhesive sheets. Peel the yellow top layer off the adhesive piece and place your paper on the adhesive. Put the yellow sheet back over and rub it down.

Step 7: Pick your die and run it through your machine with the yellow piece still over top.

Step 8: Peel the yellow piece off and peel your die cut paper piece off the adhesive and adhere to your card.
