Elf Emma with Foiled Shimmery Lights

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Scrapbook Adhesives for the month of December! I will have two posts this month. The next one will be December 26th so stay tuned for these fun tutorials. Today, I am a sharing a fun Christmas lights themed card featuring Scrapbook Adhesives Foils, Adhesive Sheets, Foam Dots, and Glue. I popped up this darling little image from Paper Nest Dolls called Elf Emma with Lights with the foam dots to add a little extra cuteness to this metallic foiled card.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:
Q: What kind of lights do you put on your tree?
A: Me? I like white lights.

Step 1: I started my die cutting the string of lights from white cardstock. I put white cardstock on one Scrapbook Adhesives Adhesive Sheet and  die cut each of the little bulbs from it so that I would have the adhesive on the cardstock to apply my foils.

Step 2: I peeled off the yellow portion of the adhesive sheet and laid out my bulbs. I picked red, green, and silver Scrapbook Adhesives foil from the 3D Foam Holiday Kit with Foil to use on the bulbs.

Step 3: I rubbed and pressed the foils on each bulb making sure the foil fully covered each bulb and peeled back slowly to reveal the beautiful shiny bulbs.

Step 4: I adhered the bulbs to my string using Scrapbook Adhesives Dual Tip Glue Pen which has the PERFECT thin end for these small areas. I also used it to adhere my sentiment to the card. I love the narrow tip for sentiment dies that often have thinner fonts.

Step 5: I finished off my card by adding Scrapbook Adhesives 3D White Foam Circles to the back of Elf Emma so that she pops from the card

Here is a final look at the finished card with a few different angles so you can see the foil shimmer!
